The City's parks mission is to provide safe, attractive parks and other recreational areas and facilities for the enjoyment and creation of a better living environment. We believe that parks are part of the very fabric of a community's quality of life with benefits that touch people everyday. And through all this, we believe that parks define the word fun! We are committed to offering an exciting and ever changing array of programs, services and facilities to our community and guests. We believe strongly in customer service and strive to make everyone's experience in their parks exceptional and positive. The City of Kerman is proud to offer eight attractive parks, encompassing 44 acres of open space. Future park developments include: three new Neighborhood Parks, one School Park and a 50 acre Community Park. |

PLAZA VETERANS PARK (3.3 acres) Plaza Veterans Park was Kerman’s first park facility and is now the beautiful focal point of Kerman’s South entrance. The park has recently been restored to its historical beauty. A Veteran’s Circle of Honor was added in appreciation to those men and women who have bravely served our country. The park’s mature oak trees command admiration, and also provide shade to much of the park throughout the afternoon. The park also features a restroom facility, park benches, walking paths, picnic tables, lighting, and a canopy structure, and is handicap accessible. Driving Directions: From the South — Head North on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Plaza Park will be located within the center divider as Madera Avenue splits. |

B STREET PARK (1.0 acres) B Street Park features a large green area with grass, trees, and picnic benches. The park serves as an additional attraction to the local neighborhood, and is an ideal location for an afternoon of reading, relaxing, or studying. The large grassy area can also be used for a game of catch, throwing a frisbee, or a pick-up game of soccer. Driving Directions: From the South — Head North on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Turn right (east) onto California Avenue/ A Street. Turn left (north) onto Vineland Avenue. Turn right (east) onto S. Sheri Way. Turn left (north) onto B Street. Park is located at the corner of B Street and 16th Street. |

WOOTEN PARK (1.5 acres) Wooten Park features a large grass area with a softball/baseball backstop, trees, picnic benches, and picnic tables. The park is also home to John Triantis playground, which includes slides, monkey-bars, spring-mounted animals, and a tire swing. Wooten Park was given a top rating by Kerman’s Playful City USA auditor for its facility design and functionality. Driving Direction: |

KIWANIS PARK (2.12 acres) Kiwanis Park features a large, fenced green area with softball/baseball backstop and picnic benches. The children’s playground includes a toddler play area, as well as a composite playground, with slides, monkey-bars, swings, and a twisty slide, for older children. The Kiwanis Club of Kerman will be installing a half basketball court in the park within the next few months. Kiwanis Park is also handicap accessible. Kiwanis Park is located at the corner of South Merlot Avenue and West San Joaquin. |

ROTARY PARK (4.9 acres) Rotary Park’s two softball/baseball fields are home to the Kerman Cal Ripken Baseball League and the Kerman Girls Softball League. The softball/baseball fields are equipped with field lighting, spectator seating, park space, public restrooms, and a concession facility. The large green area can also be used for a football or soccer field. Rotary Park also features a large playground area, with swings, slides, a jungle gym, sand-pit, and a small rock-climbing wall. Rotary Park is proud to be handicap accessible. Driving Directions: From the South — Head North on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Turn right (east) onto California Avenue/A Street. Follow California Avenue/A Street for a quarter mile. Turn left (north) on Vineland Avenue. Rotary Park will be on your left had side, and is located at the corner of “D” Street and Vineland Avenue. |

LIONS PARK (18 acres) Lions Park recently experienced a six acre expansion, allowing the park to manage the phenomenal growth of the Kerman Youth Soccer League. Each Saturday this fall, Lions Park will host over 600 youth soccer players, as well as the soccer fans and spectators. Lions Park also features two softball/baseball backstops, public restroom facilities, a covered pavilion area with electricity, picnic tables, BBQ pit, three horseshoe pits, and paved parking. KERCKHOFF PARK (5.75 acres) Kerckhoff Park lights up each fall for the Annual Kerman Harvest Festival. The City of Kerman recently renovated the park’s stage and dance area, and added increased electrical capability throughout the park. The multi-purpose park also features a softball/baseball field with spectator bleachers and score board, public restrooms, picnic benches, picnic tables, and lighting. The park’s large composite playground features a twisty slide, monkey-bars, jungle gyms, and slides. Kerckhoff Park’s Scout Hut facility is available as a meeting site and private rental facility. Kerckhoff Park is also home to the Skate Park, and will be the site for the future Kerman Youth Center. Driving Directions: From the South — Head North on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. SKATE PARK at Kerckhoff Park Kerman’s Skate Park is open 8:00am to 10:00pm. The park boasts 13,000 square feet of portable professional skate ramps and smooth cement surfacing. The facility is fenced and lighted, and includes a spectator viewing area. Helmets are required, and safety rules are strictly enforced. The future Youth Center will also be located within Kerckhoff Park, and will serve as another facility for Kerman’s teen and pre-teen population. SOROPTIMIST PARK (2.14 acres) Kerman’s newest neighborhood park features the City of Kerman’s first 100% handicap accessible playground. The innovative playground equipment allows a child in a wheelchair to ascend up the playground ramp simultaneously with another child. The playground also boasts a rubber poured-in-place surfacing, which allows for easy wheelchair access and serves as an additional safety feature for the children utilizing the playground. Additional park amenities include a small grass area, beautiful landscaping, picnic benches, picnic tables, antique-style lighting, wrought iron fencing, and shelter structures. Driving Directions: From the South — Head North on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Turn left (west) onto Kearney Blvd. Travel approximately one mile. Park will be located on your right hand side at the corner of Kearney Blvd. and Siskiyou Avenue. |
