Youth Advisory Commission – “The Voice of Today’s Youth”

To lead the youth of our community through volunteerism, service, and activities that are directed toward effective change.

The Youth Advisory Commission operates administratively under the Kerman Community Services Department. Their role is to advise the Parks and Recreation Department and the Youth Center staff on activities, events, and programs that will address the needs of Kerman’s students. They assist staff with the operation of the Youth Center, plan their program year, participate in community service projects, and participate in writing and redefining their by-laws.

The new Teen Center is currently under construction, and is scheduled for opening in January 2008. Kerman Youth Center will include pool tables, video arcade games, ping-pong table, foosball table, play station, large screen projection TV & VCR with surround sound system, computers, tutorial, assistance also available for homework and class projects.

Schedule: Every Friday Night 7-10pm

Location: Scout Hut at Kerckhoff Park

Open Gym
Enjoy playing basketball with pick-up game environment. Action varies from traditional shoot around to non-officiated half court games.
