KFRESH Fresno County’s Recreation Enrichment Scholastic Help (FRESH) After-School Program serves Kerman Floyd Elementary, Sun Empire Elementary, Liberty Intermediate, and Kerman Middle Schools. FRESH provides academic support, through tutoring and homework assistance, to its participants. FRESH also provides educational enrichment, by offering field trips and recreational activities. The City of Kerman Recreation Youth Programs Division provides free after school programs at three elementary schools and one middle school. The City provides after school programming for youth to experience social interaction, create a safe place for youth while parents are at work, positive adult role model interaction, a sense of belonging, increase self esteem, positive peer influence and a community who values youth! The KFRESH After School program is a shared effort among the City of Kerman's Recreation and Community Services Department, the Fresno County Office of Education, and the Kerman Unified School District. The KFRESH After School program offers academic support, recreation and enrichment which are incoroporated into the daily after school program. The KFRESH After School program serves Kerman Floyd, Liberty, Sun Empire, and Kerman Middle Schools within the Kerman Unified School District. Programs are for K-8 grade students to: 1)improve academic achievement to help meet state and local academic achievement standards; 2)provide a safe and healthy environment after school; and 3)include a variety of student enrichment activities that reinforce and compliment the regular academic program (e.g., recreation, leadership, conflict resolution, character education, social skill development, art and music.) The after school programs operate daily when school is in session, from school dismissal until 6 p.m. Each school has an established program capacity based on the facility space provided by the school, so early registration is a must. Registration is accepted at individual school sites. Summer Recreation Program Come interact with children in a safe and structured environment during those long summer days. The Summer Recreation Program takes place at the Scout Hut located at Kerckhoff Park. Open to all children entering grades 1st through 6th. The Summer Recreation Program is a free supervised "drop-in" program offering recreational activities including board games, arts and crafts, intramural sports and more. Activities are divided among indoor and outdoor time and subject to change due to unfavorable weather conditions. |

Holiday Kids Camp Holiday Kids Camp is offered for three days in December prior to the holidays. The camp is held at the Kerman Community Teen Center and offered for children grades 1st through 6th. The camp is a great way to add some magic to your holiday season with activities including Christmas games, crafts, team Christmas carol competition, festive snacks and afternoon movies. The camp also offers some free time for parents to get their last minute Christmas shopping done! Schedule: December 19th-21st 10am - 2pm Location: Kerman Community Teen Center Fee: $40 per child Summer Sizzle Day Camp Summer Sizzle is a jam packed day camp for students entering grades 1st through 6th. The camp offers a variety of activities including sports, cooperative games, crafts, teambuilding exercises, water wars and much more! The day camp creates quality summer memories that will not be forgotten. Summer Sizzle is not to be missed! Schedule: Session 1 ~ June 23rd through June 27th ~ 9am-2pm Session 2 ~ July 14th through July 18th ~ 9am-2pm Location: Kerman Community Teen Center Fee: $40 per child |

TaeKwonDo Class Youth Tae Kwon Do is currently in session and ongoing. Youth Tae Kwon Do will center on self-control, self-confidence, and concentration. The classes will also teach balance, self-esteem, and self-defense. Ages 5 to 15. |
