Planning Commission


The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. The Commission conducts public meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in City Council Chamber at 850 S. Madera Avenue. The Planning Commission is made up of 7 members of the community who serve 3 year terms. The role of the Planning Commission is to advise the City Council and to make recommendations on the following planning related matters:

  • Ensure that development within the City is consistent with the goals and objectives of the 2027 General Plan.
  • Review land use entitlement applications such as subdivision maps, parcel maps, and conditional use permits.
  • Recommend updates to regulations, programs and ordinances as required for the systematic implementation of the General Plan.
