Redevelopment Agency
The purpose of the City of Kerman Redevelopment Agency is to eliminate blight in the downtown and sub-areas through property acquisition, participation with property owners, construction of public improvements and providing low- and moderate-income housing as authorized by state law. The Redevelopment Agency is responsible for: maintaining legal and financial records of the Agency organization; ensuring debts and obligations are paid; providing training to Agency staff; and providing support to the City’s Community Development Department, which includes, Planning, Economic Development and Building. In addition the agency plays a role in a number of capital improvements projects. |
