Solid Waste

Trash

The City’s refuse disposal contractor conducts weekly curbside or alley collection of household, commercial, and industrial solid waste and disposes of it.

Commercial Solid Waste bin rates are available by calling Lydia Madruga at 559-846-9372 or e-mail your request to lmadruga@cityofkerman.org.

Recycling

The City of Kerman is joining in the effort to reduce our landfills with our co-mingled Recycling Carts (Grey Carts with Blue Lids). Using this cart will allow residents to help increase the efficiency of collection of recyclable materials and decrease the use of the landfill.

Glass food jars, beverage bottles, plastic containers, metal food and beverage containers, mixed paper and corrugated cardboard can all be mixed together in the 96 gallon GREY container with a medium BLUE lid marked “Recycling Only/Reciclar Solamente”. Residents are asked not to overload containers and to have them at curbside or in the alley before 6:00 am on your service day.

Tire Recycling Program

In conjunction with the City of Kerman's Fall Clean-up, from October 13 through October 28th, we will accept up to six (6) used tires per household. You must be a resident living within the city limits, and will need to provide a utility bill and photo I.D. in order to drop off your used tires.

If you have more than six tires that need to be recycled, please contact Code Enforcement Officer Domingo Zapata at (559) 842-2302 for further details.

Fall Clean-Up

Fall Clean-Up is scheduled to begin Saturday, October 13 and end Sunday, October 28. Bins will be available at the City Operations Yard from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The City Yard is located at 15201 W. California Avenue in Kerman.

The Fall Clean-Up is an event for residents who live in the city limits of Kerman. In order to discard items, residents must bring a photo ID and water/utility bill.

If you have home furniture, household items, and appliances to discard, now it the time.
