Water Conservation

The City of Kerman is dedicated to protect our water supply while practicing water conservation. To ensure that our community complies with state conservation laws and to conserve this priceless resource, water conservation limits, and enforcement processes have been put in place. This will ensure its availability for future generations.

Readoption of SWRCB Emergency Regulation Ban- May 2023

The State Water Resources Control Board has readopted an emergency regulation in May 2023 that bans using drinking water for watering decorative grass (also referred to as non-functional turf) in commercial, industrial, and institutional areas throughout the state. SWrcb EMERGENCY REGULATION BAN- June 2022

The State Water Boards adopted emergency water conservation regulations to boost water savings, starting June 2022. It will remain in effect for one year from the effective date unless the Board modifies it, readopts it, or ends it before then.
